Montana Wedding | Liz and Donnie in the Bitterroot Mountains

Liz and Donnie were married in one of the most beautiful Montana locations at the Bitterroot Barn. The Bitterroot Mountains provided a perfect, picturesque backdrop as they said "I do" in front of their family and friends. I have loved getting to know this couple since we met last year. They were such a fun couple during their engagement photos (see HERE) and I knew their Montana wedding day would be a blast.Their wedding day was filled with heart-felt laughter and bittersweet tears. It was filled with momentos of those they loved that were there in spirit. Liz put so much work into the details of the day and their wedding ceremony and reception were just stunning.Montana weather can be unpredictable, especially in the spring, and it did not disappoint. Most of the day was cloudy with occasional sun, but a downpour came about 10 minutes before their outdoor ceremony was to start. It cleared up in time for Liz to walk down the aisle with her dad and cooperated until the very end. Massive wind gusts came in time for the couple's first kiss, but Liz and Donnie and their guests took in all in stride. When it came time for dancing into the night, a great big thunderstorm didn't dampen anybody's spirits. In fact, some of the more daring friends danced in the pouring rain!Liz and her ladies got ready at the house on the property. Katelyn with Katelyn Verlanic Shear Excellence worked away all morning, doing a fabulous job on their hair, while the bridesmaids did a beautiful job with makeup. Meanwhile, the gentlemen were all ready for the day in record time, looking handsome and ready to have a great day. The floral arrangements by Flower Happy Floral and Gifts were simply gorgeous and perfect for the wedding day. Brett with Zootown DJ did an amazing job keeping the wedding guests entertained and on their feet the entire reception. A huge thank you to Jenna Nord with First Embrace Photography for second shooting with me and helping the day run smoothly while capturing beautiful moments.  It is always a joy getting to work with Jenna.Liz and Donnie, I can't thank you enough for having me be a part of your wedding day. I wish you both all the love and happiness in the world as you begin your life together.button test 150x50This was such a funny moment as Liz threw her bouquet.  The little girl caught it and ran back to her mom to share the exciting news.  When she found out what it meant to catch the bouquet, she threw it back into the crowd of ladies. Heidi Heaphy Photography is now booking 2016 and 2017 weddings in the greater Portland area, the Oregon coast, and a limited number in Montana.
