Cape Kiwanda Session | Lynette at the Oregon Coast
This Oregon coast session with Lynette, her mom Doreen, and their 3 sweet pups was so bittersweet and meaningful. Lynette contacted me about their plan to travel to Cape Kiwanda which is a special place for this family, a place they have visited often. Lynette is an amazing talented photographer at Lynette Smith Photography in Washington and it was an honor to capture her family. We met in the early evening at the bottom of the big dune at Cape Kiwanda and the light was just gorgeous. Lynette, Doreen, and their dogs played in the sand and climbed around on the rocks. This was a special trip for Lynette's sweet dog Jayde. Lynette knew this was probably Jayde's last trip to the beach, and sadly her sweet dog passed away the following week. I'm so happy we were able to capture them together in this place that they love. After their family photos, Lynette brought her mom and the dogs back to their room and she grabbed a change of clothes and returned to the beach. For the second part of the photo session, Lynette and I climbed the large dune for beautiful, amazing views above the ocean. The climb to the top of Cape Kiwanda reveals a whole different world and it was there that Lynette spread her dad's ashes in this gorgeous place that means so much to their family. It was an absolutely incredible night at the Oregon coast and I was truly honored to capture these special photos for Lynette. We became fast friends and will most definitely be meeting at the Oregon coast again in the future.Lynette, thank you for choosing me to capture these photos for you and for your kindness and generous spirit. I will meet you again at the Oregon coast any day!More Oregon coast sessions can be found HERE. I love traveling to the Oregon coast, so contact me to schedule your own personalized session.
