Yachats Wedding {Nathalie & Jeff}

Nathalie and Jeff’s Yachats wedding on the Oregon Coast was simply stunning overlooking the ocean and the crashing waves. I met Jeff first at the Overleaf Lodge and Spa where he waited for his first look with Nathalie. Their children and grandchildren were the only ones in attendance for the occasion, a perfectly intimate celebration of their love story. Nathalie’s son walked her down the aisle and her best friend officiated the ceremony which only added to the intimate feel of the evening.

Yachats is one of my absolute favorite places on the Oregon Coast. The landscape of the whole are is stunning and you can often see whales swimming right outside your room. I watched gray whales from this location several times during my stay for Nathalie and Jeff’s wedding.

We took family group photos before the ceremony, as well as some of just the bride and groom. After they exchanged vows, Nathalie, Jeff, and I explored the area a bit more while taking photos and then joined their guests at one of the Overleaf cottages for their dinner reception. They had the most delicious seafood feast for dinner on the deck of the cottage. The tables were decorated with beach decor, pink and purple florals, and lots of candles. After dinner together, everyone gathered together inside for champagne toasts, cake, and storytelling. There was even a bit of dancing with the grandkids. It was a beautiful August evening at the Oregon Coast with these wonderful people.
