Astoria Wedding {Christine & Brian}
Christina and Brian’s Astoria wedding took place on a rainy and windy September day at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church. I first met this sweet couple for drinks in downtown Portland many months before their big day. We chatted about their wedding plans and also made plans for their engagement session in the summer (engagement session post coming soon).
On the day of their wedding, Heather Reagan Photography and I met Christine at the church where she waited in a limousine so that Brian wouldn’t see her before the ceremony. They had a beautiful wedding in the church and then were showered with rain and bubbles by their guests afterwards.
After the ceremony, we drove to Fort Stevens State Park for photos by the Peter Iredale shipwreck. Christine and Brian were such great sports with the weather. Christine’s veil was blowing in the wind as we ran onto the beach for a very quick photo session before going back for photos and to their reception at The Loft at the Red Building. I love this venue at the Oregon Coast and it’s always fun to see how couples decorate and celebrate in this space. Christine and Brian had so many awesome Oregon touches at their reception, from the cakes to their seating chart cards. We took gorgeous photos outside the Loft in the rain before they celebrated into the evening with their families and friends.
Christine and Brian, thank you for choosing me to capture your wedding day. I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together.
Heidi Heaphy Photography is now booking 2022 and 2023 weddings, elopements, and other portrait sessions. I would love to capture your celebration at the Oregon Coast or elsewhere in the area and I am always happy to help you decide on a location that you love.
