Cannon Beach Proposal {Ryan & Carley}

This surprise Cannon Beach proposal was so fun to pull off with a little help from Carley and Ryan's friend. Carley's best friend contacted me saying that Ryan planned to propose to Carley in Cannon Beach. They were traveling from Oklahoma for a little getaway and had never been to the Oregon Coast before. Ryan and I then got to planning the timing and location for the surprise to happen in the morning in front of Haystack Rock. Ryan and I kept in touch by text the morning of the proposal, and with both of them getting sick the day before, and Carley not knowing what was being planned, we adapted and worked around the situation. Once they had arrived on the beach in our designated pre-arranged location, I followed them as they walked down on the beach. Carley had no idea I was following them as she paused several times to take photos of the scene around them. Ryan then stopped to get the ring out of his backpack before getting on one knee to propose to a very surprised Carley. I may have been a ways off in the distance, but there was no question that she said "yes!"After Ryan and Carley celebrated their new engagement for a little bit, Ryan revealed me to Carley and we took some photos of the two of them on the beach. It was a typical May day in Cannon Beach, alternating between calm and wind and a little bit of rain. It was an honor to capture this special moment in their lives. This sweet couple knew they would be spending the rest of their lives together, and their wedding planning is already off to a good start, but the surprise proposal couldn't have been any more perfect.Ryan, thank you for trusting me to capture this moment for you and Carley!
