Hug Point Family Session | Clagett Family

This Hug Point family session with the Clagett family last summer was a blast. Edina is an incredibly talented photographer at Beyoutiful Portraits (seriously, go check out her gorgeous work) and it was an honor when she asked me to photograph her and her family at the Oregon Coast. As with most photographers, and most moms in general, we find ourselves behind the camera taking photos of our kids, but it's rare to be in front of the camera. I loved this family's playful spirit and their fearlessness climbing the rocks at Hug Point. They brought along their sweet dog to the session as well. I had a great time trying to keep up with this family of boys and their beautiful mom.Hug Point is one of my favorite locations for a session at the Oregon Coast. It is a little beach tucked away just south of Cannon Beach. While I get asked to photograph there often, it doesn't always work out due to the tides. There are several locations in the Cannon Beach area that are only safe and accessible at lower tides. For this particular session, we were unable to safely access the waterfall at Hug Point, but we were able to use the other beach areas near there. As I always say with Oregon Coast sessions, it doesn't matter which location, time of year, or weather that you get, there is always beauty to be found there.Clagett family, thank you so much for letting me capture your family at the coast!Heidi Heaphy Photography is currently booking 2019 and 2020 Oregon Coast sessions.
