Portland Wedding Photographer | Spring Styled Shoot

What happens when you combine about 10 photographers, 8 models, fabulous hair and makeup artists, beautiful clothing, awesome vendors, a gorgeous location, weeks of planning, and an iffy forecast? That's the question I asked last week on Facebook on the day of our spring styled shoot. What happened was a whole lot of amazingness! I love belonging to a group of local women, mostly photographers, that like to hang out together, chat about life, business, and photography, and sometimes like to plan fabulous and unforgettable shoots. That's exactly what we did last week! Everybody helped contribute to the day and when it all came together the results were new friends, gorgeous photos, and a whole lot of fun.We had the best hair and makeup artists on board to make our models look even more gorgeous. My good friend Beth (click HERE if you don't remember this fabulous lady) at Bad Ass Makeup - Beth Moyer did an amazing job on our brides' makeup and Sahari Welton at Pure Elegance by Sarahi Welton made their hair just stunning. The models and their beauty staff gathered at my house before the shoot to get glammed up. I just happen to have a good friend Heather that is also an amazing pastry chef. Not only did she make the cutest pink mini cupcakes for our shoot, she stopped by while everybody was getting ready with chocolate coffee cupcakes. Yum!! Go check out her one-of-a-kind creations at Homemade by Heather. Our models, Aleksandra, Lizzie, and Mikyl were absolutely awesome rock stars all day!! After hair and makeup, the brides put on beautiful wedding gowns from Adorned in Grace. This is a local Portland bridal shop with a great cause. We then met up with the rest of our crew at Jenkins Estate, the perfect location for our shoot. The rain stayed away (though the mud did not!) and the sun even peeked through the trees for some beautiful light in the evening. The details of this shoot were what made it so great! We had the most stunning bouquets by Kailla Platt Flowers. The arrangements were perfect for the style and feel we wanted to create. The wedding cake and beautiful food were made by The Modern Proper. Cooking is definitely not my forte, but looking at their site makes me want to start doing it more.Oh, and let's not forget our littlest models who were troopers for several hours while the paparazzi took photos of them at their tea party. The little girls had Tutu du Monde dresses and headpieces provided by Rainey's Closet. All 8 of our models were the best!!! We could not have asked for better people to help us out.03-25-15_Heidi Heaphy Photography_4703-25-15_Heidi Heaphy Photography_4003-25-15_Heidi Heaphy Photography_1103-25-15_Heidi Heaphy Photography_9Thank you to all of the photographers and vendors that came together to make this happen and a big thank you to my good friend Shannon at Shannon Hager Photography for being our fearless leader and organizing this event!button test 150x50  Heidi Heaphy Photography is a Portland, Oregon based photographer specializing in weddings, seniors, and family sessions.
