Portland Family Photographer | Beth and Daughters

Since I began my photography business a couple of years ago, I've gained so much more than I ever imagined I would in this profession.  Some days I have to pinch myself that this is what I get to do in my life.  Taking photos of families is something that I love, particularly when those families hold a special place in my heart.  Beth and her girls are one such family.Beth and I were good friends in graduate school many years ago in Montana.  She and I had some of the most fun times together, spending many late nights avoiding studying for the CPA exam.  Oh, we had fun!  After graduation, I got a job and moved to Oregon and she got a job and stayed in Montana.  We stayed in touch by phone and email but eventually life got busy for both of us and sadly we lost touch.  Several years later circumstances changed and I moved back to Montana right around the time she moved out to Oregon.  When I heard through another good friend that Beth was diagnosed with cancer, I got in contact with her again through email.  It was so great being back in touch with her again even though the reason was an extremely difficult one.But the thing about Beth is that she's a fighter and she's tough and she didn't let cancer keep her down.  In fact, she kicked cancer to the curb (with a ton of humor, I might add) and started following her heart and passion.  Go check out this lady's fantastic makeup work at Bad Ass Makeup - Beth Moyer.  She is going places with this gift of hers and she just had her first published photo shoot.   As luck would have it, we are both living in the same place again, just minutes from each other in Oregon!I am really looking forward to teaming up with Beth for future projects.  For one, Portland-area senior photo sessions with Heidi Heaphy Photography will now include an option for makeup done by Beth!I'm just happy to have this incredible friend back in my life again and that she is healthy and living her life to the fullest.  My boys are pretty happy too as they have a bit of a fondness for these adorable daughters of hers.  Who can blame them though?  All 3 of these girls are beautiful, inside and out.Love you ladies!  Heidi Heaphy Photography is a Portland, Oregon based photographer specializing in weddings, seniors, and family sessions.
