Rockaway Beach Wedding | Deirdre and John

Deirdre and John traveled to the Oregon coast from Washington for their Rockaway Beach wedding last August and it was absolutely gorgeous.  I had met up with this wonderful couple in Cannon Beach on a very rainy day in the spring to chat about their wedding plans and how they were so happy to be joining their families together.  I loved hearing all about the details, the dress and the location and the people joining them, but I mostly loved how happy they were to be marrying one another and starting their lives together.When the wedding day arrived, my wonderful second shooter Heather (Heather Reagan Photography) and I met Deirdre at North Fork 53, a perfect little spot tucked away in the woods, just close enough to the beach.  Deirdre's best friend was doing hair on all of the ladies and she was getting makeup done by the talented Victoria at Blush N' Bride.  The ladies all looked stunning.The dresses, details, and little personal touches were just perfect.  Copper Blossom Design did a wonderful job on the florals that were absolutely fitting for the wedding by the beach.After Deirdre's daughters, sister, mom, and friends left North Fork 53, we drove to St. Mary's by the Sea, a wonderful little church in Rockaway Beach.  The nautical elements, floral details, and people that filled the church made it one of the most beautiful ceremonies.  John saw Deirdre for the first time that day as she walked down the aisle with her dad.  Deirdre, John, and their children joined their families together with their vows and a sand ceremony.  Guests blew bubbles at the happy couple as they exited the church as a married couple.We walked a short distance to the beach below for photos of Deirdre, John, their families, and friends.  It was a beautiful, sun-shiny day at the Oregon coast.After photos on the beach, Deirdre and John joined their guests for a brunch reception.  The Bleu Eyed Baker did an incredible job with the cake, desserts, and delicious catered meal.  They toasted with mimosas and champagne and celebrated with those they love.We went back to North Fork 53 after brunch for more celebrating, relaxing, and enjoying their perfect wedding day.Deirdre and John, it was an honor to capture your wedding day and the start of your new life together.  Thank you for letting me be a part of your day.  I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together.Heidi Heaphy Photography is currently booking 2018 weddings, elopements, and portrait sessions at the Oregon coast, the greater Portland area, and elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest.
