Cannon Beach Engagement | Diana and Prav

This Cannon Beach engagement session with Diana and Prav took place on a recent February day. If you are familiar with the Oregon coast, you know that February there can be hit or miss with the weather. Some of the nicest days I've ever experienced in Cannon Beach were in February, but it can also bring the rain and wind and perhaps even snow. Diana and Prav were traveling to the Oregon coast from Vancouver, BC, so we were going to have to take what we could get with the weather during their short visit. We scheduled their session on a day that was supposed to bring rain, and while I do love rainy coast sessions too, we were able to change it to a day that promised sunshine.Cannon Beach, and Hug Point in particular, is a special place to this couple. It was at Hug Point last spring that Prav asked Diana to marry him. I love that they returned to the Oregon coast for their engagement photos this year. We met at Hug Point in the evening for some photos in their special location, and then we traveled the few miles back to Cannon Beach for photos with iconic Haystack Rock at sunset. We could not have asked for a better evening at the Oregon coast. I loved getting to spend time and get to know Diana and Prav, to hear about their wedding ideas and upcoming travels.Diana and Prav, thank you for letting me capture your engagement photos during your visit to the Oregon coast! I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together.Heidi Heaphy Photography is a wedding and portrait photographer located in the greater Portland area, the Oregon Coast, and elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest.  I am currently booking 2018 weddings, elopements, and portrait sessions.
