Oregon Coast Photographer | Amanda & Josh in Cannon Beach
Oh, this session with Amanda and Josh was just incredible. It was one of those sessions that was originally scheduled in August around the day of the solar eclipse and traffic promised to be awful at the Oregon coast, so we rescheduled for mid-September. It's always a game of watching the weather at the coast and going with the flow of what you get. What we got this evening was beautiful sunshine, very little wind, warm breezes, and a gorgeous sunset. We lucked out and I had a wonderful time with this sweet, funny, and in love couple who are getting married this December. I was connected to Amanda and Josh through my friend Sue with Sue Larkin Photography, an incredibly talented photographer in Washington, who happens to be Josh's mom.Amanda and I chatted about different locations and possibilities for their Oregon coast session and decided to start at Hug Point while low tide was still in our favor and then move north to Cannon Beach and the iconic Haystack Rock. They brought along their sweet pup Tuck for the first part of the session. I always love it when people bring along their fur babies. We had a great time running in the surf, watching a seal swim around near the rocks, and taking in an amazing Oregon coast sunset.Thank you for the great evening in Cannon Beach, Amanda and Josh! It was so fun getting to know you both.Heidi Heaphy Photography is currently booking 2017 and 2018 portrait sessions, elopements, and weddings at the Oregon coast, the greater Portland area, and elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest. I love to meet couples and families at the coast and am happy to suggest locations that will be a good fit based on lighting, time of day, and the always important tide tables.
