Oregon Coast Elopement {Courtney & Brett}

While elopements and intimate have become more and more common as of late, they have always been some of my absolute favorite days to capture, even pre-pandemic. Courtney and Brett's Arch Cape elopement in September 2019 was truly gorgeous.

I met Courtney and Brett, as well as Carolyn with Oregon Beach Ceremonies at the Arch Cape Inn for their morning elopement. This boutique hotel near Cannon Beach is so charming and totally secluded from the rest of the world. It makes you feel like you are in a castle tucked away at the Oregon Coast, so it was the perfect setting for Courtney and Brett to say their vows.This sweet couple had traveled to the Oregon Coast from Utah and wanted to just get away and have a private and intimate wedding with just the two of them. They held their ceremony in the backyard of the inn with the lush Oregon forests in the background. A staff member at the inn served as their other witness. Their ceremony was so sweet and heartwarming and included a couple of surprises too. Brett had surprised Courtney with a special ring that she knew nothing about until he placed it on her finger. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Carolyn. She is a celebrant/officiant, but so much more. She makes each wedding ceremony completely unique and personal to the couple, telling stories that they have shared separately with her. She also goes above and beyond with helping couples to plan the best location for their Oregon Coast wedding, as well as providing whatever resources and information may be pertinent to a couple's wedding and stay at the coast. After the ceremony and signing of the marriage license, Courtney, Brett, and I drove the very short distance to the beach for some more photos. The beach is within walking distance from the inn but it was much easier to drive there in wedding attire. It was a perfect early fall morning on the coast with this couple and I was sad when our time together was over.
