Hug Point Family Session | Lewis Family

I love it when families are visiting or vacationing at the Oregon coast and schedule a session to capture their time there. I am always eager to meet people at the coast for a fun evening and this Hug Point family session with the Lewis family was an absolute blast. I left Portland on a hot August day and arrived to find cloudy skies, a light drizzle, and cool temps in the Cannon Beach area. I always tell people not to stress about the weather or the conditions at the Oregon coast too much because it is unpredictable, yet it is always beautiful. No matter the conditions, we always end up having a great time and inevitably end up in the water at some point.Hug Point is one of those places that has a lot to offer for photos. It is a bit of a hidden gem near busy Cannon Beach and provides variety with the rock formations, caves, and the waterfall. Most of the beach can't be reached at high tide, but we lucked out with low tide coinciding with sunset time. Shauna, Ryan, and their two sweet girls were so fun and such troopers in the cool weather. The sisters had a great time running in the water together until bare feet got too cold.Thank you so much, Lewis family, for letting me capture your beautiful family at the beautiful Oregon coast! I had a wonderful time with all of you.Oregon coast photographerClick HERE to see more recent sessions at the Oregon coast with Heidi Heaphy Photography.
