Hug Point Elopement {Laura & Drew}
Laura and Drew’s Hug Point elopement at the Oregon Coast this past spring was absolutely stunning. This couple was so sweet and they looked beautiful against the forever-beautiful Oregon Coast backdrop. I always tell my clients that you can never go wrong with a wedding or elopement at the coast and I truly mean it.
A bonus of this day with Laura and Drew was hanging out with several other photographers, including the talented Wild Elopements Photography who organized and designed this gorgeous day. Working with talented vendors is always a bonus to make the day even better. I loved Laura’s dress from Raw & Golden Rentals, their florals from Wildflower Hill Floral, and her hair and makeup were perfection from Anastasia Savchenkomua.
While I love capturing all kinds of celebrations and events, days like this one remind me why I have chosen to focus on intimate weddings and elopements. There is just an ease throughout the entire day with a wedding like this one.
This elopement took place at Hug Point, a lovely and secluded spot near Cannon Beach. It is often a favorite location for weddings and other types of sessions because of its variety, the waterfall, the caves, and the gorgeous coastline itself. However, it is also one of those locations where you must understand the changing tides at the Oregon Coast. Hug Point becomes dangerous and even unaccessible at higher tides, so understanding when it can and should be accessed is crucial in order to have a memorable day in a good way. Laura and Drew’s elopement was planned at low tide in this incredible place and it was perfect.
I would love to capture your wedding or elopement at the Oregon Coast or elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest. I am currently booking 2023 intimate weddings, elopements, and other family or portrait sessions. Let’s chat about your upcoming celebrations!
