Engagement Photos | Lisa and David in Montana

Engagement sessions are some of the best ways to get to know a couple before their wedding day and I try to make them happen whenever possible. Engagement sessions don't always work out, if a couple is going to be traveling for an Oregon coast elopement or is coming from out of town just before their wedding, for example. However, when they do happen it gives both the photographer and the couple a chance to get comfortable with one another before the excitement and butterflies that come on the wedding day itself. A couple knows what to expect when it comes time for the portrait part of the wedding day because they've been in front of your camera already. Plus, they have a collection of engagement photos to look back on before they become a married couple.Lisa and David were planning their wedding in Arizona, but circumstances put us all in Montana at the same time in the summer. Lisa and I went to high school together in Montana and we both share a love for the beautiful mountains and lakes near our hometown. I loved getting to spend a beautiful Montana evening with them in the mountains and hearing about how they met, their upcoming wedding plans, and their excitement about starting their lives together.
