Ecola Engagement Session {Delaney & Sander}
Delaney and Sander’s engagement session at Ecola State Park last August was absolutely stunning. Delaney contacted me about doing their session at the Oregon Coast. She is originally from Oregon and the coast was a very special place to her growing up. They were in the process of moving from California to Belgium where Sander is from, and engagement photos at the Oregon Coast before they moved were very important to them.
Delaney and Sander wanted to have both ocean and sandy beach photos, but they also wanted a woodsy vibe for some of them. Ecola State Park provides the best mix for just that. We started their session at the viewpoint overlooking the ocean and Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach, then went into the forest. Delaney’s blue dress was perfectly matched to her blue engagement ring. Deer visited us during the session and it was a truly Pacific Northwest/Oregon Coast experience. They were just the sweetest couple and I had a wonderful time photographing them.
Delaney changed into another beautiful blue dress for their photos down by the water. We drove from the upper Ecola views to Indian Beach below for some photos in the ocean and on the sand. The beach was nearly empty except for the seagulls and this lovely couple.
They plan to say “I do” this summer, and it was such an honor to capture these special moments for them. I loved their vision and being able to help them bring it to life.
Heidi Heaphy Photography is currently booking 2025 sessions at the Oregon Coast, in the greater Portland area, and elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest.
