Cathedral Park Wedding | Kelli & Daniel
Kelli and Daniel's Cathedral Park wedding was the final summer wedding for me last year, and it was one of the most fun and pretty weddings I've ever had the honor of photographing. I was lucky enough to work with and photograph Kelli's twin sister and her niece last year, so I was extra excited to work with this wonderful couple. The ceremony was held under the bridge in beautiful Cathedral Park, a place that is becoming one of my favorite wedding locations in Portland. While Kelli and her sisters and nieces got ready in an RV at the top of the park, Daniel greeted guests arriving on a perfect Portland summer day. A violinist welcomed everyone with beautiful music. Kelli's sons and Daniel's son led the wedding party and then Kelli walked down the staircase aisle with her sisters.
The ceremony was full of personal touches, an exchange of gratitude lists, readings by close family, and a handfast ceremony. The violinist played Fleetwood Mac's Songbird as Kelli and Daniel walked to the reception area below after the ceremony.
The details and personal touches made this wedding so unique, full of whimsy, and just plain fun. Kelli made giant tissue paper flowers that gave a beautiful pop of color to the ceremony under the bridge at Cathedral Park. Hilary Horvath Flowers provided absolutely gorgeous florals. Guests sat on picnic blankets and enjoyed vintage picnic baskets full of delicious homemade foods. Pretty parasols were available for guests to cover their faces from the warm summer sun. Lawn games were available for kids and adults alike.
The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed toasts of love, a special song, and lots of dancing.
Dessert was extra fun with Scoop Handmade Ice Cream's mobile ice cream cart.
The most important women in Kelli's life surprised the couple with an amazing choreographed dance. Kelli, Daniel, their family and friends danced the night away as the sun went down over Portland on a perfect wedding day. 
Kelli and Daniel, thank you so much for inviting me to capture this wonderful wedding. It was truly and honor and I smiled the entire day throughout your beautiful celebration.
