Cathedral Park Engagement Session {Sarah & Neil}

I met Sarah and Neil for their Cathedral Park engagement session last November when Portland was glowing with fall colors. The forecast called for rain on the day of their session, as it often does in the fall in Oregon, but we lucked out with a window of beautiful weather in the middle of showers. Sarah and Neil are getting married this fall, so having their engagement photos done in the previous fall season was perfect. It was wonderful spending the evening with these two, chatting life and wedding plans, how their love story blossomed from a sweet friendship into an engagement. There were large letters on the Portland waterfront spelling "Love," and it seemed like they were meant to be for them. Cathedral Park is always a great location in Portland, especially when there is the possibility of rain, because there is some coverage under the St. John's Bridge. The scene at the park is perfectly Portland.I always love when I get the chance to meet and get to know a couple before their wedding day. While engagement sessions aren't always logistically possible, it's the best when we can make the happen and it helps ease some of the nerves that come on a wedding day.I can't wait to capture Sarah and Neil's Portland fall wedding, rain or shine.
