Cannon Beach Family Photos | Doud Family

One of my favorite things about this job is hearing from people that I haven't seen in ages contacting me to take their photos. Meghan and I went to high school together back in Montana and I hadn't seen her in many years, probably since I graduated. Her husband happens to be from the Portland area and they were going to be here visiting family and wanted family photos at the Oregon coast. Of course I said yes! We decided on Cannon Beach family photos because one just can't beat Cannon Beach. There are several little beaches near there that offer various elements, but they aren't always accessible during high tide, so we went for the iconic Haystack Rock.Meghan and Jeff's two boys were so much fun, running and playing in the sand, trying so hard not to get soaked right away. They reminded me a lot of my boys, loving the ocean and the sand. While it was a cloudy and foggy evening, there was hardly any wind which made for a warm and perfect session.I love that I get to reconnect with people through photography and I really love it when that happens at the Oregon coast.
