Cannon Beach Extended Family Session

This was such a wonderful Cannon Beach session with this extended family who gathered from far and wide to be together. Some came from Oregon, while others came from all over the United States, and one family even came from Dubai. They gathered for a reunion to spend time all together for the first time in a long time.

I met the family at their beautiful rented beach house overlooking the ocean. We took photos of their entire group together, then lots of different combinations of families, siblings, cousins, grandparents, and couples. It was fun watching all of the generations have fun together like no time had passed at all for them. Their happiness was completely contagious.

Afterwards we drove down to the beach for more photos with Haystack Rock in the background as the sun went down. I captured the family running and playing and being silly together. There were human pyramids, handstands, and cousin races. Several of them got in the water and I didn’t want to leave as they splashed around in the golden water while pelicans flew overhead. It was one of those perfect Oregon Coast summer nights in Cannon Beach. I imagine this is a family reunion that this family will never forget and it was an honor to capture this evening for them.
