Cannon Beach Engagement Session | Sarah & Jake

I say this about every Cannon Beach engagement session, but this one was truly a favorite. Jake contacted me last spring about scheduling an engagement session in Cannon Beach. He and Sarah are from Ohio and were in the area for just a few months while Sarah finished her clinical rotation in Oregon. They had never been to Cannon Beach, so we discussed tides and sunset and locations for the best Oregon coast experience.We met for their session on a June evening at Hug Point when the tide was still high, but the light was just perfect in the forest areas there. When the tide was low enough, we went down to the beach for awhile for some photos in the sand. As we watched the sky, dark clouds started to roll in before sunset, so we quickly drove to Cannon Beach for one of the most spectacular skies I have seen at the Oregon coast. Sarah and Jake were up for anything and they wanted to end their session in the water, so that's what we did. It may have been summer, but the water is always cold, and I love that they ended up soaked and happy, the perfect ending to this incredible engagement session.Sarah and Jake, thank you for choosing me to capture your engagement at the Oregon Coast.
